International Association Of Child Sleep Consultants

The IACSC nonprofit educational organization was formed to bring together the growing number of child sleep consultants, establish a standard of professionalism and educational training for it’s members so that the medical and parenting community has a trusted resource of educated Child Sleep Consultants. The IACSC members share a solid foundation of knowledge, ethics and experience as a basis for our unique area of practice. The International Association reaches out to fellow consultants nationally as well as internationally.

The IACSC’s goal is to provide to its members continued education in areas which influence sleep practices such as child psychology, nutrition, child development, and many others as it pertains to sleep. As the membership in the IACSC grows so will the benefits to our members. Annual conferences, mid-year meetings, local seminars and webinars are all reachable goals. MD for Moms Radio

Dr. Snyder is one of a small cohort of medical physicians in New York City specializing in reproductive psychiatry. Her unique approach combines traditional psychiatric treatment with integrative medicine-based treatments. Dr. Snyder is an attending physician on staff in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. She also holds a teaching appointment at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and is an assistant attending with a teaching appointment at Weill-Cornell in the Payne Whitney Women’s Program. Dr. Snyder was on the Postpartum Support International (PSI) Board of Directors as the Research Chair for several years, and now serves on the President’s Advisory Council. PSI is the leading national organization providing awareness, prevention, resources and treatment of mental illnesses related to childbearing. She frequently speaks to various audiences, such as ‘The Pregnant New Yorker,’ ‘Hatch Maternity’ among others, and at professional conferences and meetings. Dr. Snyder is also a member of the Women’s Mental Health Consortium. Dr. Snyder is the Director of Women’s Health for Family Health Associates. NOLA Milk Mom

Chelsey Leruth was born and raised in New Orleans, she is a certified lactation counselor (CLC), public health professional with ten years of experience in maternal and child health, and most importantly, nursing mom to a spirited toddler. She was trained in lactation counseling by Healthy Children’s Center for Breastfeeding, and is certified by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. As a certified lactation counselor, she has the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities to provide safe and evidence-based breastfeeding counseling and management support to families who are thinking about breastfeeding or who have questions or problems during the course of breastfeeding or lactation.
